Another Omni effect. It would be great if they tell us what other currencies they have.
https://www.murphysmagic.com/product.aspx?id=64619 Description: Omni Deck from Palmer's Magic has been a modern classic for card magic. Imagine that you can now perform the time-tested professional effect with a BORROWED COIN! Oh, and did we tell you the coin is not only borrowed, but SIGNED? Yes, you heard us right. You borrow a coin from the spectator, have the spectator sign the coin, and then turn the coin into a beautiful piece of Omni Coin with their name still SIGNED on it. The best part is that the gimmick is reusable with no refills to buy. This is a reputation maker with a borrowed and signed object with instant reset, and guaranteed reactions. What are you waiting for? This is an Omni effect on steroids. Get Omni Coin now! |

It shows both a half dollar and quarter on Murphy’s site but I would be shocked if you received both gimmicks for the price in this day and age.
Penguin has it listed but doesn’t give an option to order either one so it’s confusing. It does say “gimmicks” plural, so maybe both are included??? Never ceases to amaze me that the ad copy writers for magic consistently neglect to mention what comes in the box. |

Didn't Johnson Magic or Vernet have a really nice looking Kennedy half?

Vernet's Silver Extraction.
Don Alan is the only one I've ever seen do it.

My Transparent effect came out 7 years ago sold by Magic Direct and Alakazam. Since then, I’ve sold coins of different currencies and jumbo omni coins, through magic shops and Blackpool Magic convention.
No one contacted me about this version. https://youtu.be/B7cZCSjZj9s |

It is all based on Boris Zola's "Silver Extraction" from Bobo's Coin Magic, but simplified by removing half the effect. For years, people who wanted the minted appearance used to heat up a piece of plexi glass in the oven, and then press a coin into it. Made a negative minting, but looked good enough in performance. Then Fakini made the first commercially available version of Silver Extraction with a minted appearance. The only one (I believe) with express permission from Zola. Later, Johnson and Vernet came out their versions. Then you, with yours. And now the one in this thread. |

I'd totally purchase a morgan style version of this.
Does anyone make them? |

No refills surely the spectator would want to keep the coin after the change is made as it would make an excellent souvenir that they would actually keep.

There's a line in the trailer which says "You can keep that". What do they keep? Do you change the Omni coin back to their signed coin? Mike |

Love your charitable question, “maybe they were talking about another effect?” - lol. Thanks for the PSA, David.

What a joke, how many people carry a Half Dollar. When I give a half dollar to a grocery clerk, they call the manager because they don't think it is real. Why, because they don't know they exist. As for quarter, you would need to carry 52 different quarters with you. Like to see that Index holder.
I have Silver extraction, have been doing it since the early 1960's. Now they put a different name on it and compare it to the wrong source and call it new. No way this so called, Omni Coin will play at all in the real world. Don't waste your money or time on this product. It is really bad. |

It’s a lot worse than bad. It’s terrible.
