Hi Again,
This deck was given to me so I don't even know the name of the effect. It's a red Fox Lake deck and abouthalf the deck is strng together with black thread, and there is also a safety pin included, with thread on it. Not sure if it's original and the thread broke or the previous owner added it. The other half of the deck appears to be normal. Again, any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, David |

That sounds like a Haunted Pack, David. (Someone will have directions or direct you to a book with the information.)

Thanks Julie. Are you able to give me an idea of the overall effect?

Hi David
Card is selected by assisting spectator and returned to the deck. Deck is held on performer's outstretched palm. Deck cuts itself and then the cut-off portion returns to line up with the lower part of the deck leaving one card protruding from the deck. This is the freely (no force) selected card. TA DA! Julie |

Thank you Julie. That makes sense. I truly appreciate it.

Yes this is the Fox Lake Haunted pack. You can actually have up to 3 chosen cards revealed using this method. I have it somewhere and if you give me some time I can locate the instructions and get you a copy. This is a great effect to perform in a seance type situation, it's not exactly practical for "impromptu" situations.

Eugene Berger regularly used this set-up to thoroughly engage and entertain his audiences!
