Lately, at my local Stop & Shop I've been seeing an autonomous robot roaming the aisles looking for spills and debris. I think his name is Marty.

He's just looking for something to do on a Saturday night.

That guy with over 20 items probably was mad because he wanted to scam the self check out.
One of my co-workers told me he did something similar when he was younger. He would buy a large amount of goods to include a few plastic coat hangers. He would scan the coat hangers multiple times and transfer the other items to the bags. The Wal-Mart watcher was not very attentive (reason you need job satisfaction) and he would tie up the bags and show the long receipt of coat hangers to the watcher who hardly glanced. The same guy, when he was still in school would go shopping at Piggly Wiggly with his grandmother. They knew the cashier and the cashier would palm a pack of gum to scan instead of all the real food items. They would get all types of cuts of steaks and other items for 25 cents each. Here is the kicker. He didn't think anything was wrong with it as (his words) he was like Robin Hood taking from the rich (Big Box Stores) and giving to the poor (him). Sad thing, is that he said we would still do it today... When I go to Hell (... and I am going to Hell) I hope to get a job as the door greeter (of Hell) just to see all those surprised looks on peoples faces as they walk in...
I still recall the day I met Beaker from the Muppets. He said to me "Meep, meep, mee mee mee Meep!", and that has made all the difference.

They just see the billion dollar industry and not the workers or the impact to the community... then wonder why the big businesses close in their area.
Side story: I bought 2 glowing dog collars from Amazon. They are USB rechargeable and I bought a green and red one. I purchased them after another day of frustration at my non-puppetry job. You see, I care about my job and the impact that it has. Unfortunately, my job punishes people who care; as the other workers like being unaccountable for their actions or work ethic (company is afraid to fire anyone due to shortage). So when I don't care about work and just sit around waiting for payday I wear the green collar. However, when I do start to care I switch to the red one and have to stop caring before it detonates and pop goes off my head. Today is a green day...
