It looks soooooooo good. Totally amazing. Love it that it uses a remote!!
https://www.mjmmagic.com/store/spark-by-......444.html Description: SPARK, a miniature ignition device, can be easily hidden in almost any place desired, even behind cards or coins, waiting to light up objects at the planned moment. Triggered by a remote control, SPARK makes things catch fire themselves as if it is pure magic. No unnecessary moves and unwanted sequence needed to achieve the effect. Everything looks so streamlined and natural in choreography. What's even better? Equipped with a delicate and precise time-delay system, SPARK is smart enough to delay its response to its remote control in 3, 5, or 10 seconds. There is time for ambiance to be built up to culmination, and for the audience to be prepared to marvel at the impact of thrilling effects. SPARK up your arts and ideas! |

I love that they show you exactly what this is. The coin stuff looks great. The coin and shot glass is fantastic. I'm not in the market, but FIRE....I'll wait for some reviews.
Also, cigma has created other items in the past I had forgotten about "ELF" and a smoke device with Shin Lim. |

Personally, I think this is better than Light It Up by Sansminds. Similar effect in spectator's mind, and more magical.

I received the Spark earlier this week and have a few initial comments if anyone cares to know:
1. Although the video instructions implied that batteries would be included for the remote, they were not included in what I received. 2. Furthermore, the exact battery that is needed for the remote was not specified anywhere in sales copy, written instructions or the online video. So far Penguin has failed to respond to my inquiry about this, although my crack video forensics department was able to deduce the battery type from freeze framing the online instructions at a moment when the battery type was visible to the camera (my Spark remote takes two CR2016 batteries). 3. No routines or methods are taught - I was hoping they'd at least share some tips on the candle lighting that is seen in the trailer. 4. The range is questionable. During initial testing I had to bring the remote quite close to the receiver. 5. In spite of the above annoyances, this thing is fun! It can shock the hell out of people and is probably best used as an enhancement to an effect although there are some simple ways to exploit its potential (e.g. I became visibly annoyed and an object across the table burst into flame a la Firestarter - people jumped out of their skin . The Spark has at least one fragile and exposed component and I'd recommend constructing an armored and cushioned container/holder for it, just to keep it stable and from getting bashed around. The receiver is so tiny that it seems to like being recharged often - the recharging time is minimal. I'll be picking up a backup mobile power supply for charging in the field. Since this is equipment I'd like to run it through its paces at least a hundred times before recommending that others purchase/avoid it. For now just sharing some observations. So far I do not regret the purchase, although I am biased towards (and often disappointed with) devices that facilitate the illusion of pyrokinesis. This has some great potential... |

A quick update, to be fair, that Penguin finally got back to me and made things right. I'll assume they had some key staff on vacation, or perhaps suffering from the heat stroke in their area. In return I ordered copious quantities of cotton and paper that will certainly be involved in documenting the performance of Spark...

I received my Spark today. I am finding impossible to thread the cotton through the "almost non existent loop". If working table hopping this is a one time hit. Mine is just like threading a needle. I will contact Sigma tomorrow. They have always been helpful in the past. The unit itself performs perfectly. It is fragile. Someone posted about protecting it. I assume he is talking about carrying it in your pocket in a small container. At $105.00 for one shot. I will get back after contacting Sigma. It may be the loop was not raised up enough.

I love mine. I don't feel comfortable with using the remote myself. Afraid I might accidently set it off prematurely. So I have a confederate do it at the proper time. It's the ending to the gypsy thread at the end of my show. It goes over great with the double whammy.
I am getting so tired of slitting the throats of people who say that I am a violent psychopath.
