I understand that our time is one of the most important things to us - in both our business as well as in our lives. This, combined with how we prefer to use our time and receive information can combine to be important to how we learn, grow, and evolve.
I am curious as two a couple of things: 1. Do you prefer newsletters (physical or digital, either) or podcasts? 2. And, do you prefer to listen to information (audio) or watch information (video)? I thought I'd pose these questions to everyone here, if you don't mind sharing, to get your thoughts, and why? |

1) Newsletters, digital
2) Listening And honestly - if I have to listen to it, I probably won't. I am busy during the day, and at the end of my work day I close my laptop and almost never open it back up until the next day. I can read text quickly, and easily refer back to it if it has information I found interesting. People talk slowly, and it's annoying to scrub through a video or audio track looking for the 2 second blip that mentions a book or website or whatever. Text is a casual interface. I can read part, look away, come back to it and not be lost at all - that doesn't work for audio or video. Unless you devote attention to the thing, for the entirety of the thing, you don't get the information. It's like the difference between a text message and a phone call. A phone call is going to interrupt anything else you might want to do - and I, personally, almost never have a length of time I can devote to a single task. Texts are much easier for me to manage. Oh, and digital because if it's a newsletter there's a good chance I'm going to read it once and toss it. No need to waste physical paper - if I want a physical copy, I can print the digital one out. I hate it when companies send out the glossy newsletter/coupon pages that can't even be recycled.

For me, it depends on the specific content. In general, I prefer podcast to newsletters. Video is fine because I will likely listen to it first, then watch it if desired.

1) I have no preference on newsletters vs. podcasts, I like and use both
2) I would prefer to watch as opposed to just listen. |

It actually depends on the content and what the article or message is about. Content is everything and what I am interested in learning at the time is paramount to bothering with it at all in any form.
