Can anyone tell me if the Paul Daniels effect Compulsion is the same method as the effect marketing the wallet?

Nick Einhorn's "Hidden Influence" is on his At The Table lecture.
I like his method because you can perform it with any borrowed deck, and an everyday wallet. Or you could use an envelope I guess. Either way, they are everyday objects but do need slight preparation. Quote:
