Hi all
Saw James lecture in the Midwest decades ago. Blew me away with an effect. Was new to magic back then. Completely jaw-dropping bamboozlement. Can someone please assist with the name of the effect and possibly where I can find it (if at all) in a book, manuscript, video, etc. ? Starts with a sealed, new deck. Removes wrapper et al. Ribbon spreads to show in new deck order. Gathers them up. Shuffles & cuts a number of times. Has a spectator select a card (and I believe sign it?). Loses it in the deck. Does a kind of light amb card routine. But lots of shuffling/cutting. Finally, ribbon spreads the deck face up and it's back in new deck order with the selected card back in the correct position in the order but it's reversed. I then met James years ago at the Castle purely by chance. At one show he was sitting with some people behind me and I heard them say his name. I turned around and said, "I've been looking for you for a long time" Told him about seeing his lecture in college and he was very nice. He told me the name and like an idiot, I didn't write it down. Ugghh. Many thanks in advance! |
