Hey everybody, I am new to this website, and I've searched every topic I could find about the Turner Key Card. Unfortunately I have found none that solve my issue. I've tried the method he describes in his video on 8 different decks and none seem to work. He is able to just slide the card out but every time I try I don't even feel a tactile difference and nothing even slides out. I feel like I am misunderstanding what to do, because wouldn't doing his method to create the card make it shorter (which therefore makes it impossible to touch when the deck is squared)? It just feels like I am sliding my fingers across a smooth deck, and I feel like I am misunderstanding it. I am assuming that he is sliding his fingers against the modified edge but to me it makes no sense how to get grip on the card to pull it out. Any help or advice is appreciated!

The consensus seems to be that you need to practice, practice and practice again. Turner himself says it could take a person years. In the meantime you might consider a different method. The man rarely has two empty hands, he sometimes falls asleep with cards in his hands. Is it any wonder why his tactile abilities are much better than most anyone's?

Why spend years learning a key card? Of all the things you can invest time in, a key card is at the very bottom of the list.

Learning to work with a key card is certainly a worthy pursuit. Whether this particular one is worth it is up the individual.

It’s good to have more than 1 key-card method😎 |

Not sure if this is the same sort of key card, but I've enjoyed the simple key card working of the old Circus Card Trick for many, many years now. Learned it as a boy, maybe the first card trick I ever learned. I did just the basics way back then but now I've added some real deception to it by brushing up on cards in the last few years, and it just seems impossible.
If I'm in the wrong place with this, well, that's what I get for being a mostly decent-at-best coin guy.

I think there are better easier more practical and versitatile key cards out there. One of the best in my opinion is the breather crimp.

If you are trying to cut to a card that has been altered such as a breather crimp it works best with a fairly new deck.
