MonKey is an amazing effect and amazing workmanship. You will probably be more amazed at the workmanship than spectators actually are.
My biggest complaint about this gimmick is that I have found that after becoming intoxicated by drinking some of the fine mead at the North Carolina Renaissance Festival, it easily becomes lost forever if you happen to be carrying this on yourself. |

Hi fellows,
Just bought MonKey, but I saw thin gap on it and it s obvious. I don't think this key can give for examination. I did email Jeff 3 days ago and he not reply yet. Is that normal or just mine. It s defect. Thank you for reading. |

Mine is the same way. A quick casual hand out of the key is all I would do. Any thorough examination and they will see that it is not a regualr key.

My key has essentially no gap. I mean, there is a seam of course because it’s not one solid piece but certainly nothing that anyone would ever notice.
I think the main thing people check is if it feels solid and doesn’t appear to be able to move. I hear people use terms like casual inspection as if it’s a bad thing. But seriously, how close are you going to let someone examine a prop? Or how close is 99% of the specs even going to bother to look at something? They generally figure that if you’re letting them examine it then there must not be anything to find. Of course I’m not referring to your friend at the bar after a night of drinking. |

Thank you. My friend who own one also said the same with u. His key is no gap. yes there is only line coz it's 2pc metal. Some owner said the key is nice not gap just line. Some said there is gap 0.5mm . Jeff said my gap still normal. I confuse. Lol |

Sorry to bump up such an old thread, but I'm wondering if anyone else had their key fall apart and managed to put it back together again? - I think I have all the pieces and everything seems to snap back into place, but it no longer works - someone in Facebook told me that the same happened to them and Jeff told them how to fix it, but they didn't still have the instructions to share.
I've tried to contact Jeff Prace multiple times over the last couple of months via his website and directly via email, but he never responds (a word of caution to anyone else thinking of buying anything at Jeff's website https://plainsightmagic.com - if you want support, don't buy direct from him) Anyway, has anyone else had this issue and have instructions for fixing the gimmick? |

Update - Someone on the Cafe let Jeff know that I have been trying to contact him and he's reached out to me and offered his help.
Thanks to whoever did that - a positive outcome for me. |

My key so far has been holding up fine, had it for about 2 years now. It's on my keychain everyday so holding up well!
With regards to the seam, I keep the ungimmicked key on my chain as well so I just switch em out prior to handing them out. |
