All Magicians know, If you want to get the attention of your audience... USE FIRE!
FLAME is by far one of the most amazing visual effects in close-up fire magic. Imagine taking out an ordinary lighter and, at your command, making the flame levitate slowly above the lighter then back down again! FLAME is 100% self-contained. It uses no wires or external gimmicks. You are in 100% control of the levitation! Carry it with you everywhere you go to increase the magical moments in your act. Whether using FLAME for your favorite Blister effect, Lighting Flash paper or to simply use it as a show of your magical powers, FLAME is a must have for all walk-around, close-up and street performers. 100% self -contained! 100% under your control! No wires! No external gimmicks! Use as normal lighter! Amazing visual! Online instructions! Must be 18 years or older Found this on the Murphy’s website. The product is already out of stock & discontinued. 😅 If I remember correctly, I have seen similar stuff with everyday lighters. Do You guys find this relevant? |

It might be great for your social media or a stage show but it has dropped of big time for close up. Flash paper was "all the rage" for a long time, and suddenly wasn't. I have seen and agree with reasonings in a close up or walk around environment, that there is always the chance of catching a woman's hairspray on fire. I am not sure if they wear as much these days though. Also a quick burst of flame out of nowhere a few years back could have easily cased a panic due to hyper-vigilance of watching for an act of terrorism. It could also affect someone with PTSD. I am fully aware that all of these are EXTREME examples, but every one 'could' happen so is it worth taking the chance? I personally had a ton of fun in the 90's and early 2000's with both flash paper (and a double barrel hand held 'hidden' flash canon) as well as a device that fit in you sleeve called "Inferno" (a flame from anywhere device). I also used a flaming wallet but I quit using all of them for various reasons and realized - My shows did not suffer without them. There are people who still use fire (and all this fake smoke made famous by AGT and such) but I think it literally is a "flash in the pan moment" and barely enough to consider a valuable piece of misdirection. Just my 2 cents.
