Magicians are the most interesting and wonderful people to talk with in the world. This week we explore the multi-faceted background of Daniel Summers. Today he is internationally renown for creating and building stage illusions for professional magicians from David Copperfield to Hans Klok and many others. But his background that brought him here has come full circle.

Having an interest in building illusions while he was yet in high school, Dan first became interested in magic though ventriloquism. Then he worked a theme park performing magic and was soon whisked off to sea for a multi-year engagement on Carnival Cruise Lines. From there he performed in a variety show in Japan, moved back to the U.S. where he opened a "phone room" and telemarketed his shows. He became a hypnotist on the college circuit then settled in Houston, Texas as a builder and creator. He was also Joanie Spina's caretaker in her final days.

You can hear his fascinating journey on this week's podcast at: https://www.themagicwordpodcast.com/scot......-summers And be sure to enter the contest for a chance to win $100 of magic books offered by our sponsor, TheMagicBookShop.com
