I received my copy now. What a clever little apparatus - really fun to play with. Surely one of MW's best.

This is still available with the odd retailer out there and I am very tempted, I think the elusion of the block being released of the rope is perfect. What is putting me off getting my self one is the handling of the rope, in the demo videos I have seen there seems to be a bit of a rush to place the rope out of sight ( or part of the rope) am I just looking at this with magicians eyes, I no there are other versions of this effect out there and I do not no how the block release is achieved, and of course I would not expect any sort of disclosure on the method, so can anybody help me with my concerns I have about the handling of the rope.

Yes, finding one on the used market is probably the only option now.
