Just bought it from Trickshop.com for just $2.50. FASDIU. Magician truly never touches the deck. Minimal procedure. Very nice coincidence effect. I like it! A true bargain. (No connection to Trickshop.)

Impossible is a fabulous easy to master card effect. I learned it years ago from a Michael Ammar video ETM Card Miracles Vol. 6 and he credits the trick to Larry Jennings.
One of the best in that collection, and Michael is a terrific teacher. |

Well I thought this thread was a bit confusing so I looked up the mentioned effects and the Impossible by Larry Jennings is nothing like the version described on trickshop. Also, Power of Thought is a two deck effect that is not FASDIU. So they are all different as far as I can tell. Here is the description from the trickshop site. This same effect can be found in Jim Steinmeyer's Treacherous lmpuzzibilities book.
Trickshop Description: Eddie Joseph's IMPOSSIBLE coincidence effect will astonish your audiences! From a borrowed, shuffled deck that you never touch, two spectators each select a card in a fair manner. The deck is then divided into two halves. One spectator turns up either half face-up and picks it up, and the other spectator takes the face-down half. The cards are now dealt by the spectators into a single pile, one face up and one face down, and so on, until one of the selected cards turns up. At this point, one more face-down card is dealt on top of it. Now, despite the fact that your audience helpers have been in control every step of the way and even freely shuffled and cut the cards at various stages, the selected cards are now revealed to be face to face - an IMPOSSIBLE Coincidence! No set-up, no forces, no glimpses or key cards, no gimmicks to add or take away, and YOU NEVER TOUCH THE DECK. In fact. you can even do it over the phone! This may be the cleanest coincidence effect ever conceived and the working is 100% automatic. That's right, as incredible as it sounds, the trick works itself. Our new 5-page illustrated instructions walk you through the brief, easy-to-learn handling. Don't miss this one!
Pick a card, any card at all. Just don't pick a RED spade.

John7 and Sevenup are correct. There are (at least) two different card tricks called IMPOSSIBLE, one by Eddie Joseph and one by Larry Jennings. IMHO both are excellent.

The trick "Double Disclosure", No. 26 in Fulves' Self-Working Card Tricks, might be related. If it's not, it's still a wonderful hands-off, automatic coincidence trick. No credit in the description, though.
