I never had the chance to meet him, but many poeple said he was a great man. I now that he had so much to do with all the magic specials we've seen in the past years (World's Greatest, World's Wildest, etc.) and was wondering if anybody knows what will happen to magic on TV now. Who's now working on new and exciting magic specials? We don't want the only magic specials on TV to belong to the Masked Magician.

Gary was a great guy. I knew him very well. He spent quite a bit of time in my home discussing magic and many other subjects. He was a voracious reader and knew a lot about everything. He was a great close-up performer. The last time we talked he commented that magic will cycle and it will be a few years before interest is what it was in the 90's.

I met Gary Ouellet twice. First time at a Tannen Jubileum in New York ('90) and the second time at FISM '92 in Switzerland. He was a great guy and was very kind with me. Also he was very helpful with his suggestions.

I wonder too wonder if they are looking for talent to fill the void for creative Grand Illusion on the networks...?
Has anyone heard of upcoming World's Greatest Magic or similiar network produced shows? |
