Immediate Aces good, too. But not what the poster was going for.

Thanks so much for all your responses.
The effect in Armando Lucero's video (thanks Darko) is more or less what I am looking for. I presume it is the same one Carlo is talking about. Most of the other suggested effects already introduce both Kings and Aces. John Carney's Kings and Aces (excellent routine by the way) just as all versions of Hitchcock Aces are more or less a switching of Aces and Kings. In that case I can use my take on Paul Harris' Reset routine. What I am really looking for is starting with four (regular) aces. Then counting (Elmsley?) and showing four aces after which one by one they change to 4 kings (or whatever other cards). Ideally ending with just 4 (regular) kings. The deck is on the table so can be used for adding or switching (gaffed) cards. I was looking through some older posts and found a reference to Cody Fisher 's Twisting Dai Vernon. As I was considering Twisting The Aces as Plan B, this could be the perfect solution. Anyone familiar with Cody's routine? It is in one of his booklets called Required Reading. Unfortunately it is long out of print. |

If you wanted to go the gimmicked route - Paul Wilson has a piece called "Ricochet", which could also work (without the kicker ending). Jim |

Sure, but knowing how he does it, and doing it yourself as lightly as he he does, are two entirely different things, I'm afraid...o:)

Pending how you imagine the change going, the "Snap Color Change" by Lennart Green may work; it would allow the Aces to never be seen going back to the deck and it would be cleanly visible that there are only 4 cards. Takumi Takahashi also teaches this one (I've seen both of their videos, they're both fantastic ).

Patrick Kun has some short and visual ace to kings on his instagram, which hasn't been released, but those tricks are based mostly on his released moves. Hopefully, this will help somehow.
