I know there are threads about: best packet trick, etc. I just wanted to post about a packet trick I've been doing again lately for the people at work and it is KILLING. I was excited to share with you because the reactions are JUST that good.
It's one of those tricks that you know is really good, and maybe, for whatever reason, you haven't been doing it for a while and you think, "what the heck, I'll pull this one out again." I was thinking tonight after performing it that if I could only do one packet trick for the rest of my life, this trick would be it; purely based on the incredible reactions I've been getting. I've been getting the kind of reactions you see in videos, the "over the top" freak out reactions that are just so much fun to experience with your spectator. The trick I'm talking about is B'wave by Phil Goldstein. It's just epic. So simple, So straightforward and so much fun. I find the acting sells it. I've been telling folks I had a weird dream and... could they help me with something? I've been pausing for each reveal and letting it sink in. Their eyes get all wide and they're blown away. And the reaction each time they realize you're about to reveal something more, just killer! The young lady I did it for tonight was actually shaking she was so freaked out and blown away. Man, this trick is just so awesome. If I could do only one, it would be B'wave.

This looks like half of Twisted Sisters by John Bannon
Regardless, it looks like a great trick! |

No doubt the acting is what sells it, and that's precisely where I could use some performance tips.
Theodore, might you share your obviously successful script for B'wave? Along with any performance pointers you find particularly important, helpful, or effective?

I'd be happy to Karnak. I'm watching my grandchildren today and working tonight, but as soon as I get some time I'll post it.

Hey Karnak! I posted it in Secret Sessions. Hope it helps in some small way. It's rather long-winded.
Thank you for your interest, I enjoyed writing it out.

Well, your mileage may vary, of course, but I did a long write up down in secret sessions trying to describe my handling.
Hope it helps.

I’ve owned this since it came out but when I saw Max Maven was teaching it with the purchase at Penguin I happily bought it again. If anyone is thinking of picking this up, you can’t go wrong learning it from its creator.
