Are the markings well hidden on the Fournier deck?

It's hard to answer that once you know they are there.
I've used mine a few times and got away with it. My girlfriend actually said after one effect 'These cards must be marked' (I was a bit culmsy). She looked them over for a few seconds and handed them back without seeing the marks. You'll never get away with them at the gambling table but they're easily good enough for magic if you manage things properly. I have recommended the Fournier deck to a few people. BTW I think the Dekram deck is not the same as the Fournier deck. Both are sold by Cards4Magic as separate products.
It was a good battle, and they nearly won.

There was one time I did an effect with a TL deck once and a spectator suspected it was marked (even though I just did the one effect with it). They grabbed the cards, had a good look at the backs for a few minutes and then declared to everyone else that they where clean. It just goes to show what may appear really obvious is not alway sso. I suspect he was looking for little clock faces or something...bless him. |

I like wild's deck bc you can read it from a spread. that's a very big improvement imo.

Friends: the only difference between my and Mr. Boris Wild´s marked deck is, that the latter isn`t as easy to read as my original. if you can´t read the back in a mere glance, forget it. Boldness is many times the key to success and this means professionalism!
Any questions? Feel free to ask TED LESLEY_________

When I was in Chicago with Ted, I learned of a problem with both marking systems. Some of the shops in malls, specifically Magic Masters, are selling the DeKram deck quite indiscriminately. Once you know how any of the decks based on Ted's system work, you can spot the marks on all of them. So, a fellow I know was working with his Lesley deck, and some of the girls watching him work, who had purchased the DeKram deck from Magic Masters started calling out the cards that were face down on the table.
Not a far-fetched problem at all.

I have used the Lesley deck for years. It works well and I have never been burned. Don't run if you're are not being chased.

Bill is right on the money. I have seen marked cards for sale at Flea Markets, Dollar Stores and Swap Shops.
Over-exposure and market saturation are killing gimmicks like this. Best to use the Marked Decks sparingly, and not in an obvious way. Anybody having any luck with any other decks marked in different ways that are deceptive enough to fool the "know-it-alls"? |
