Has anyone purchased Udays Jadugar’s Covert reel. Not able to find any reviews. Please share your thoughts if you have.

It is like the reels from Sorcery Manufacturing. The major advantage is the quick replacement of the thread in case in breaks because you don't have to disassemble the whole thing. I hated that alwas it is this is a really worth improvement in my eyes.

It’s the second best reel I’ve ever owned, with Mark Allen’s Thread Manager being the best. That could have been because of the thread choice, though. When I burn through all the Kevlar thread that comes with this reel, I’m going to try some thinner thread and run the reel at lower tension. I bet that will make it more like what I loved about Mark’s.
The best feature is the open casing. Makes it so much easier to reset snapped thread, and I’m guessing it’s easy to respool new thread too. I never liked the sorcery reels very much. This is 100 times better than my Socery Micro (which wasn’t micro at all). The retraction is smooth, you can get some good distance, and it’s really quiet as long as you guide the thread back rather than letting the wax zip back like some kind of flying booger trick. I’m going to wind up buying a lot of these. I want a lifetime stockpile cause I never want to run into a situation like I did with Mark Allen’s reel where I need another one and they aren’t being made any more. If you like thread work and have used different reels in the past, I can almost guarantee you’ll be thrilled with this.

Disappointed. The mechanism is flimsy and disfunctional. Never actually got to use it. The video information lacked real detail. To the back of the drawer. You get what you pay for, however I’d read a couple of raving reviews . Perhaps I had a dud.

Does anyone know how to find a Mark Allen Thread Manager ITR? Supposedly hundreds were made and sold. THEY ARE THE BEST

Very similar to the Sorcery Manufacturing reels. As noted the thread is easier to retrieve if it breaks. I've noted that more than one person says they are going to replace the thread when it runs out. The elastic on this reel actually runs through the the end caps. It appears that the elastic will have to be cut to remove the spindle. It seems to me that what you get is what you get and if you want to change the thread for what ever reason you're pretty much out of luck. Am I missing something? I also wonder about buying a lifetime supply of these. Won't the elastic dry rot over time just like a rubber band? Might want to release the tension on the elastic to prolong the life of your stored reels.

It would be amazing if Uday was able to produce a locking covert reel. Something where you can anchor, then move away with no tension, but then when you want activate the tension. Thinking of being able to perform spooked etc. The design and functionality of this covert reel is really nice, well made and produced for the price fair play. One of the best ITR,s I own.

The greatest thing you'll ever learn, is just to love & be loved in return.

I bought a few of the underground TM’s years ago. I searched to see if they are still sold and was surprised they aren’t. I’m also shocked there isn’t something better by now. I hope the ones I have don’t rot away anytime soon.
