Those who have purchased my latest book directly from Vanishing Inc. or their favourite dealer may be unaware that there are free on-line supplements for this (as well as all my other products).
The errata/supplement page for Collected Thoughts already contains close to a dozen entries, so be sure to pay it a visit if you have the book.

Thank you Doug. I love the book. I purchased mine from Browsers Den.

Thanks, Doug. It looks like this supplement gets updated. I'll need to keep an eye on it.
Great book and highly recommended. I have discovered, BTW, that, if I wake in the night, running through the DAO sequence in my head is rather more successful, and useful, than counting sheep. Barry |

An Amateur's Review
I bought my Calculated Thoughts from RP Magic, a brick-and-mortar shop. I'm best described as a hobbyist with a beginner's skills and an intermediate understanding of how things work. I bought Calculated Risk because I've referred to the Deceptionary on multiple occasions, think Doug is a good guy (not that I know him personally), and I'm interested in mentalism. Some things in the book are beyond me--the math behind magic squares--but the writing is exquisitely, enjoyably clear, and I'm enjoying the reading. I can't say that about all the magic material I've purchased. I credit the good, clear writing with the fact that I'm learning a lot). |

Doug, do you have a supplement on how to pack Calculated thoughts in a very efficient way for traveling? I want to take it everywhere.
Great work, sir!

Steve Faulkner delves nicely into this in the first half of his detailed two-part review of the book. If you haven't yet seen it, I would encourage you to do so: it may give you hope, and even inspiration!

Thanks, Doug.
I've watched and will delve. I teach high school English, but I have a magically interested math colleague I can reach out to if I need help. |
