I just received it. You get two properly sized but regular paperclips and two properly sized but regular rubber bands, two double sided-blank cards and two mini blue back playing cards. It came with a link to a Youtube tutorial that was 37:59 in length. You do have to make your own gimmick using two of the same bills of your choosing. You can use any denomination and any currency. To construct you will need some very basic items that you should have lying around. IT is extremely easy to make. IT should take about 2-3 minutes to make.
Basically, the gimmick is a magic swi...ing device. Jay shows numerous ways to use the gimmick. You can change one playing card value to another, change a red back card to a blue back card, change a full sized card to a mini playing car, change a monopoly card to monopoly money. You can use it for transpositions where a selected card is put inside the bill and it changes to a different card and the card is no found inside a card box. You can use it as a prediction here you should the back of a playing card held by a paper clip inside a folded bill. The spectator can name any card and when the playing card is taken out of the bill it matches the very same card named by the spectator. Jay shows an easy and common way to have the spectator examine the bill before the effect. The card that is taken out of the bill at the end of the effect can be given out and examined as it is not gimmicked. The bill itself of course is not examinable unless a sw''ch is made before or after the effect is done. The video instructions are very detailed and you can tell that Jay is excited about this gimmick. There are numerous ways to use this versatile, fun, easy to make and organic gimmick. Recommended. I mentioned at the beginning of this thread that I'd purchase and report back. I received Incredibill yesterday. It was shipped from New York and received in California on the 6th biz day - decent shipping time.
The online video tutorial was clear in sight, sound and instruction - decent video. Lots of ideas of different presentations - decent options. Also I had a couple questions after I purchased and Eric replied quickly - awesome customer service. The reason the ad doesn't show a full performance is because there is none to show. Not a full live performance and not even a full studio performance (with that attractive lady he's used in the past - bummer) - no full demo. The instructional video is Jay sitting at a table, showing you how to construct the gimmick (an easy 2 minute job with items you surely have) and then sharing quite a few different ideas of how to use the gimmick. I will use this but I do feel misled by the ad. None of his ideas start out like the beginning of the ad where a bill is shown being wrapped around a card and then the card changing. And it's not just a matter of doing a bill s***ch (which is what I thought before purchase). All presentation ideas start with a card already being wrapped in the bill. You need to have this setup beforehand and then, during presentation, pull a card with a bill wrapped around it from your pocket. Not a deal breaker - still a cool effect and people truly can immediately examine the card after it slides out of the bill and look over and see an empty bill. Like I said, I'll use Incredibill but I would have liked to know before I purchased what I've mentioned here to make a more informed and 'un-misled' decision. At no point while performing can you show yourself wrapping the bill around a card - it has to be pre-wrapped. I'll be using a presentation where the pre-wrapping makes sense ('I had a dream last night' kind of thing or the Betting presentation Jay provides). It does reset quickly if you're doing walk-around but the 'do it again' requests from the same group will need to be answered with another trick - maybe Card Melt? Thumbs up for Incredibill. As for the ad, well......not so much. |

Showing something in the ad that you can't do is very misleading and should be called out.

Just to be fair and help keep the focus of this thread on the trick (instead of it sidelining to 'ads that are misleading'), it's a great trick with lots of presentation options. I'll use it and I'm glad I bought it. I just feel that in an honest detailed review of Incredibill, written for magicians considering purchasing, the actual 'get-ready' requirement should be mentioned. It's a good trick!

You $3.00 worth of stuff and you pay $25.00 for something you have to gimmick yourself. Jay is becoming a lot like SansMind was in my opinion.
