I seem to remember, someone making a chop cup coil. Like a hat coil for a chop cup. Does anyone know anything about this or where you can get it.?

Any appropriately sized mylar or cloth coil can be used as they stream from center. You can simply hold in place with finger under the cup rim. Same move as used for producing them from cups and balls, Wonder Box, etc. If you want it to be self holding, you can easily fashion a claw holder with two strips cut from aluminum can, duck tape, and correctly oriented m****t. Just bend strips so they apply pressure to side of coil. The tape will help make l**d silent.
Long mylar coils are becoming somewhat hard to find. Last really good one I bought was from Richard Hughes here on the forum. |
