I am looking for information about a version of the Baby Gag--an effect that I think Ken Brooke is credited with where an envelope contains a picture prediction of a famous person like Bob Hope but as a baby and on the reverse side is a picture of a brown-faced baby. This version used the Instant Painting Principle so that the prediction shows a line drawing of a white baby face in the frame and as the picture is pulled out of the frame, the face changes to a brown face in case the audience names a famous person like Flip Wilson.
I have a memory that the trick might have been marketed by Hank Lee through his Magic Factory. I'd love to find a jpeg of the ad or the trick itself to use in an article about tweaking old magic tricks into a version with a new life. My recollection is that the one that Hank Lee sold was a very small picture more suitable as a close-up trick than as a platform trick. Does this ring any bells at all with anyone? ----- Amado "Sonny" Narvaez
