Hello friends,
I'm doing my own little magic history project on Hugard and Braue. I'm curious to know more about them as magicians, how did they perform and why, as opposed just reading their explanations of tricks. I'm yet to get a Hugard Monthly, but curious if there are other sources to better understand these two gentlemen. Thanks. |

Check the GENII MagicPedia. Here's the link to the Braue page:
https://geniimagazine.com/wiki/index.php?title=Fred_Braue where we read: "His last name is usually pronounced "BROW-ee." (I mistakenly thought his name was pronounced "Broy" since in Germain the "e" after the "u" indicated an umlaut. But then, I don't pronounce my own last name the way Spanish-speaking people do. Maybe he chose to anglicize the pronunciation.) The MagicPedia page will also give you a list of references for finding more info about him that you can access through askAlexander. ----- Amado "Sonny" Narvaez
