Seems similar to an effect from Self-Working Coin Magic that I believe was based on something from Bob Hummer.

This is not "weak", its excellent. Whilst the trailer shows one outcome, the end effect is always the same and not complicated, the spec will see the same thing and all eventualities are fun and fooling to perform. There is one completely different ending which is even stronger than the trailer.
Totally impromptu, easy to learn, fair and interactive. You really can't go too far wrong with getting this for the cost. 5/5 |

Also, the spectator management is minimal. Equivalent of "please deal out five cards". If you struggle with that, maybe don't try this.
