Has anyone read Harpacrown Too? I can’t find any reviews from real people. I have seen the magic orthodoxy review and some other reviews from reviewers but I prefer to see reviews from people that actually bought the item with real money. I have the original Harpacrown standard edition and loved it but as far as I can tell the second book is only available in hard back which is a bit more of a serious purchase and I have often found that follow up books are rarely as good as the original.

This is a great book that I really enjoyed reading.

Thanks for the reply Illusion77. I’m guessing that is the nearest I am going to get to a review. The fact that I haven’t been able to find a cheap second hand copy is also a good sign as it implies people are not rushing to offload it.

You're very welcome ProperCharlie. To be honest, it was a book that, after I read it, I decided to keep on my shelf also.

I am going to go ahead and order it. I really enjoyed the first one despite only having the standard edition. I will post a detailed review once I have read it although that may take a while.

Not a review as such but I received this from Justin Longshore and he has given his permission to share it.
“Hi Mark! Just wanted to thank you for writing two amazing books. I just finished reading harpacrown 1 and 2 over the past week. While the effects are awesome and I'll certainly be using methods and presentational ideas from them, your stories, anecdotes , advice, and essays are truly inspirational. You've rekindled my love of our art and have made me want to be my best self as a performer. I could go on, but I'll just say thank you for your help on my journey. Reading your books make me feel like I've made a new friend. I look forward to buying more of your publications. Your father's quote " I can't see, but I refuse to be blind" is something I'll carry with me professionally, creatively, and as a father.” |

Thanks for that Mark. My copy has already arrived and I have made a start reading it. I have to say that it is a beautiful book but I almost spoiled it reading the introduction which made me laugh so hard I actually spat my coffee out. I read Harpacrown a couple of times and from what I have read so far of Harpacrown Too I can understand those comments. Reading the book really does feel like chatting with a friend rather than reading a book. I love your sense of humour, I have laughed out loud several times while reading it.
