I have an idea. I would like to see how many ideas/routines we can come with using a cup. The cup can be plastic, glass and there could be more than one. Lets brainstorm and see what we get.
I have about 7 or so but I want to see what you guys come up with too.

The ending to Ricky Jay's, "Everywhere and nowhere" uses a glass in a very visual way.

The old tricks like:1)glass through table.2)Vanishing a coin by covering with a glass(remember this one,it's done on paper cover table top).3)The one where you wrap a book in a handkerchief and put 2 glasses on the top.The book is inverted but the glasses adhere to the book.4)Vanishing Glass ala Asrah.5)Three Shell trick using cup to cover the shell with the pea(as in the Art of Close-up Magic vol1).6)Hankerchief penetration.8)Coin through glass(like coin in bottle).9)water to ice.10)Milk to silk.
11)Floating Cup(if it is a polystyrene cup). These are just a few that come to mind. You will have to jumble them a bit to form a routine. Andre |

Make liquids disappear with Slush-Powder. With Coffee it looks really great! Try it on a waitress.

There is a nice routine on one of Daryl's Fooler Doolers tapes. It is a matrix effect with a cup and 4 die.

Using a ring with certain characteristics (like the one sold by Charles Gauci) you can do your favorite chop cup routine with a plastic cup (which in turn can be both borrowed and examined)

Well, I haven't actually seen anyone do this except me but I'm pretty sure someone else has thought of this before.
I'll be happy to answer all your questions on the workins though. Ask away |

Sammy Smith has a routine with 4 coins and a cup. Good Idea
How about a dice routine where you could also stack them.

Forked Up by Alain Nu
An impromptu routine where a borrowed and signed coin is tossed into a cup full of coins. A fork is used to stir the coins in the cup. When a spectator removes the fork from the cup, the selected signed coin is found laced on its tines. |
