I just had the good fortune to review this and as you might infer from the first part of this sentence, it's GUUUUUUUUD....
First, the description from the product page at https://patrickredford.com/product/order-out-of-chaos-patrick-redford/: Description Inspired by So Sato’s “Bushfire Triumph” and Giancarlo Scalia’s “The Ace of Hearts Trick”, Order Out of Chaos is a table triumph where the cards are thrown haphazardly onto the table with cards going both face up and face down. The cards are further “smooshed” around appearing to mix them even further and upon being squared without any further action, right themselves all to the same orientation…except for a freely named selection! Right when the audience thinks the effect is over, the cards are given one more shuffle and the entire deck is found to have transformed into new deck order. This technique may be used to secretly maintain a stacked deck or be used as a show piece to have the deck magically return to a new deck order arrangement. If you don’t know how to faro shuffle, don’t worry! This video will teach you how to finish with a deck of cards in suited order even without having to faro shuffle. My take on this: As one might expect from Patrick's work, the thinking on this is awesome. I mean, how many triumphs does one need where you shuffle a deck and it rights itself? This ain't no shuffle, folks. This is as close to a random muck on a table as you're going to get. Not only is it visually messed up, but the randomness of cards being grabbed and placed all over cement the impression on the spectator. However, of course, there is method to the madness and even watching the explanation, I had to stop and go back several times because while it was being explained, I was sitting here and saying "noooo, that just *can't* be!" The core triumph effect is fantastic on it's own. But, listen to his explanations about why things are what they are, why you do this or that, and there are nuggets of wisdom in there you can use for any effect, because his thinking is THAT good. To top it off, there's a kicker ending where the deck totally puts itself back in new deck order from the chaos AND the resulting triumph, and while it is a little Faro-centric (and for folks like me who can do a perfect Faro - off by 4 cards EVERY time ;-) Patrick offers several alternative methods. And kicker on kicker, you can use this to keep a stack adding to the illusion that a stack was just all over the table as you move onto your favorite stack work. Just over 30 minutes on video, with no fluff, and IMHO, perfect pacing, even chapterized to help you focus on the bits you want. Loved it!
