Any insight on this book? Seems to me the only place to purchase it is here: =============== OFFBEAT by Nick Diffatte: https://www.squashpublishing.com/products/offbeat =============== It doesn't look like it is published yet. Think it's worth pre-ordering? Think it'll sell out? I understand that Nick is good friends with Chris Kenner. You think any of the material in this book has a little "Chris Kenner" in it? .

I haven't read this book (I think the official launch is Magic Live) but I have seen Nick perform live, and also purchased his earlier book. Nick is thoughtful & creative when developing his routines, and is a funny performer. Gabe Fajuri (of Potter & Potter) runs Squash, and I would guess is somewhat selective about what titles he wants to put out. With these two guys behind the project, I'd imagine it's going to be excellent.

Squash generally will end up selling some of the inventory through other dealers. The Malini book by Steve Cohen and Heroes of Magic by John Fisher that Squash just published is available through most major magic retailers.

Nick Diffatte will be on The Penguin Magic Podcast Thursday 5/12/22 discussing his new book, and what's inside it.
This is the profile of Comedian + Magician Erik Tait. A self-promoting sleight of hand artist who thinks he is the cat's meow.

I saw a copy yesterday in Chicago while visiting Potter & Potter, and it looks like a great Squash-published cloth hardcover book.
I preordered mine, and suggest others do too. |

I met Nick last year at Abbotts get together. With a room packed with famous magicians Nick stood out as being great.
I would be interested in knowing what this book is about. The quality of the book looks impressive. |

I really love the classic look of the book.
I don’t even know the contents, but I already know I want it. Madison |

I listened to the Pod Cast and it was insightful (Thanks). I researched more about what Nick has done in his career and read reviews on his other products. Done deal... I pre-ordered it .

I’m in the” I love the creator I’m buying the book” camp. Also not too expensive but cannot yet speak to content.

Probably material not for me....but the design! I want it just to admire on my shelf if nothing else. Looks gorgeous.

I will be posting a full in-depth review on my blog very soon.
For those who already have their copies, does yours include several strange parentheticals with a .jpg included? My favorite is the one on page 84 which reads, (tea4.jpg This photo would look great larger) Seems that the version that got sent to the printer included remarks between the editor and photographer. For such a gorgeous book, it is a shame these errors exist. Madison |

Has this arrived for anyone who ordered from Squash rather than picking it up in person at a convention?

Got mine yesterday. Great read thus far. Some old. Some new. A nice variety of material including some great parlor pieces.

I wanted to try a new format for the review this time. I have included a couple of performances videos along the way!

Thanks for the thorough review interspersed with video performances Madison! A few of the routines are not my cup of tea, but most seem fun.
