I've been thinking about incorporating close-up into my trickle traditional music busking for a few years now, and this year I plan to run with it. I have been making more and more of my own clothing/costuming and so, Gypsy/The Hindu Thread Trick (Greater Magic p. 846) is a real natural for me, right down to rolling scraps into a ball (I do this all the time to prevent accidental ingestion of longer threads by my CATS- String Gut is extremely dangerous).
One that caught my eye awhile back is The Butterfly On The Shoe (Greater Magic p.832). And, of course, I may throw in some coin stuff, even if I only do a coin roll- I think a lot of folks see that as magical, even though it's a flourish. So that would be a nice little set of three sprinkled in, I'm thinking. |

I usually busk for a minimum of 1.5 to 2 hours. If at an event, I could work 4 or 5 or more. I'm thinking for now of just performing an effect or two or three sporadically throughout, somewhat impromptu whenever seems appropriate. I'd like to start out just playing it by ear. I like your suggestion, Wravyn, very much. Thank you for posting!
