What I find strange and disturbing is that there is no dedicated website for this product and
apparently no way to get in touch with the developer directly - for such a special and high-priced product, this should be absolutely possible - For example, what about the supply of spare parts and repairs ? |

They have a site. The URL comes with the instructions. I’ll share it when I get a chance.

Will that allow you to have several spectators. each place 1 card, 1 at a time onto the table , maybe several seconds apart, and then it will record all 3 cards? In other words you can do several cards, but one at a time? Also, is the monitor/ peek device easy to palm like a Peeksmith? |

The single card option is optimised for one card at a time. You could do multiple cards on the table in this mode, but the peek device would likely flicker between the cards. There is a multi card option, which I think is designed for your use case. I use the record option instead (in my limited testing), which remembers / displays several cards on the peek device as they are placed down. This mode seems to suit going out of the room to check the results. Single card and multiple card are for live peeks. Poker mode I’ve not had much luck with, in theory you select the number of cards and players. I think as I have the sensitivity high it’s a bit janky. It likely needs to be set to a lower sensitivity for this mode.
It is fairly similar to a Peeksmith I’d say. Longer but thinner is my assumption. |

I have this. It works well, you get something like a 2.5 metre - but the conditions need to be right. The spectator needs to be facing the receiver and not body blocking. So whilst the range is good, you would need the spectator to stand in the right place. If you hide the receiver under a table, you can throw the cards down on the table (in the vicinity) and it will pick them up. If the range is useful to you, this works as described. I think the conditions to make the range work can inhibit the performance somewhat. If I was a spectator I might think someone was using a hidden camera to pick up on my up jogged card. I also have Illuminati Magic’s Second Sight, hidden in the bottom of a custom made wooden box. Whilst the range of the reader is only several CM, this doesn’t matter as using the box to store / hide a card is logical.

The real power of the Bat System is the extra-long detection range, which uses a high power setting and good conditions.
But with this setting a new device only lasts 30 minutes... It worries me that over a year or two the batteries will probably be empty in 15 minutes or maybe even less when we have to use this high power setting. So I ask myself, is this worth the investment? I have used Insight and Cesarals reader for many years and they still work like in the beginning (BTW Cesarals version is a backup, the cards are much thicker so I prefer and almost always use Insight!) What I love is that it's so easy to use, and I have used it in so many ways, many times also far away... |

Can someone who knows the different products (insight, illuminati, bat system) say a bit more about the handling and thickness of the cards how they compare to each other? which one has the most natural looking and feeling cards? Would it be easy and also pleasant to handle the cards and let the spectator handle the cards for lets say an entire card act and then end with an impossible effect? (I love also normal card tricks and that would be my ultimate goal)
Also I had some ideas of tricks mixing normal cards with nfid cards, would that be obvious for the spectators if they handle the cards? thank everyone for answers! jack |

I was lucky enough to get a used one and I must say that I'm positively surprised.
The range is far and the detection is super fast and up to not never had a wrong reading. John |
