This is a solid strolling cup routine.

Short and sweet. You do not need a table, magic happens in the audience member's hands, and they even do the magic.

You talk like the chop cup in the hand is a new idea. It was on Martin Sanderson’s first DVD fifteen years ago.

I don’t own this particular download, but it is not apparent (to me at least) that Michael is representing the concept of in the hands chop cup as his.

When a member of our Magic Circle demonstrated the new "chop cup" in about 1960, many old timers were upset over fears that the gimmick
would reduce many fine effects to nothing more than a "one in hand, one in pocket theme. Some disliked the complete reliance on inference
over actually showing the cup to be empty between moves. So, it was proposed that that at the next meeting several would show their "non-magnetic' approaches.

The five demonstrations of alternative "one-cup" routines were grand - and four of them used no table, being entirely "in hand" or "in spectator" hands.

I am not sure if Micheal escapes from the imagined limitations of the "auto-retention" approach in this routine, but am sure it will focus on audience engagement.
