Where can I get some good info on using double backed, red/blue double backed, double faced, double blank, blank back, blank face, and gaffed cards of the sort?

I would say that every text on card magic contains some gaffed card stuff (ok not ALL of them but there sure are a lot )... Some books completely devoted to using "extras" are Kaufman/Racherbaumer/England's "Gaffed to the Hilt" or Don England's "Paradox". You may also want to check out "The Secrets of Brother John Hamman". It contains many of what is considered today "classic " gaffed card effects. Jerry Mentzer also wrote a series of small booklets called "Card Calvacade" (sp?)... You may want to look around for those....

All the above references by Segal are great, especially Brother John Hamman.
On the classic side, The "Encyclopedia of Card Tricks", by Hugard and Gravatt, has sections devoted entirely to different types of gaffs. So does "Expert Card Technique". federico |
