I am 6 foot 6 ins tall so it is a bit of a distance down to my shoes. Will this make it more difficult for me?

While I usually don't use the 'vanishing ring' gimmick I did at an event this past week and the lady did mention it wasn't her ring that she could 'feel'. Part of that was my fault for the structure of the routine I was doing. I've done interlaced hundreds of times and ALWAYS load the gimmick on the ring live, in real time, right in front of the spectators. True, the routine I use really gives me MORE than ample time to misdirect. FYI for those of you thinking interlaced or this can't be done in either close-up or stage, I completely disagree. EITHER of these can be done in either setting. As David Paul said earlier ... the people remember the RING IS ON THE SHOELACE and NOT the specifics of 'how' it got there or if you used a handkerchief or a false put/take to effect the vanish. I found it but it was after about a minute of rummaging in my case on stage ... 'where IS it. I know it's here' ... man. So I can see the appeal for this! J.

Yeah, I have vivid memories of crawling on the floor in a dimly lit place when I didn’t do a proper load on my ring flight… the look of worry mixed with anger on the women’s faces…
Please check regularly if you are becoming the type of magician Jerry Seinfeld jokes about. (This applies to mentalists as well.)

This is a great effect highly recommend. I prefer the black hank as it is less suspicious.

I found it is hard to modify other shoes. Less material between two gimmick makes it more sure fire. You can modfy the gimmick with little DIY. So you can use it with any shoes. It is very easy. Have you ever had a ring damaged? And how audience reacts? It is self contained gimmick. You can carry it in one of your pockets. It may look weird carrying a handkerchief with you. So it is not EDC. It is great for strolling, it takes 5-10 seconds to reset. Packs small plays big. There is huge improvement. There is no clothing issue. It can be done anywhere, anytime in any clothing. It is more controlled loading system, less risk of ring falling and get damaged. It is little bulky for EDC. If you are working professional just get it. It is packs small plays big type of thing. Great for close up, parlour also stage. It takes 5-10 seconds to reset. |
