LOL it might be nice but I think it might be To Dangerous plus you don't want Kids Copying it. and it might have to be done indoors in case of Wind.

I was wondering. How long does it take to escape a posey Straight Jacket? (Not a gimicked one... hey, well, and how long for a gimmicked?)

I've got a gimmicked one which is quite loose for me.. takes less than a minute to escape.. most of the time I'm acting...(in my opinion) I think it's fine to have a 'jacket' that is slightly bigger for you for ease of escape, after all you can always mime that it's very tight and difficuut to escape.. As for Don's comment, that routine I mentioned is not meant for kids show, mabe a TV special or something

Both my Posey(no belly or side loops)and my gimmicked jacket that I got at Tannen's when I just started out in magic feel about the same on me and although I have never timed myself I would guess that I could get out of each in about 10-15 seconds depending on who's strapping me in. Of course I would never do this in a performance as I usually stretch out the "struggle" for at least two minutes.

No to the TV Special as soon as you do the Kiddies will Watch how many of us have gone over to a Friends House because Mom and Dad said we can not watch it at Home. I remember something like this Happening at Boys Club Years ago when Planet of the apes were on channel 18 it might of been the first time it was on TV.

One that does not result in the stitching of my shirt sawing into my shoulder and cutting my skin making it bleed as I try and escape....

My first SJ was the one sold by Davonports here in the UK. It's still the one I use most in shows and stuff. For those that made it to the last Indy I think James performed with one.
