As we close out February, it's worth mentioning that fifty years ago, on February 21, 1973, Robert Alan Nelson died. He left behind a huge legacy in mentalism as an author, publisher, performer and dealer. I remember as a teenager in the mid-1970s getting his books on cold reading and Hellstromism and thinking that I was really getting the inside scoop from a professional. His books were truly eye-opening to me. Did anyone else have that experience?
