I have recently been reading and experimenting with the material in Don England's "Paradox". The visual eye-candy possible with the gaffs he creates are incredible. He uses the perfect mixture of gimmicks and sleight-of-hand to produce perplexing and visual effects. Even the non-gaffed section of the book is excellent. The influences of Marlo and Hamman are very apparent in this book, and I believe that if you were to mix Marlo and Hamman you would get Don England!
I am having such a great time with this book and was wondering if anyone else has worked with it?

"Don England´s Paradox" by Kevin Kelly is one of my favorites. The boys in our club went crazy when I performed "The Geiger Gaff".

I bought the book early 2002 from a dealer in Germany. It is Copyright 2001. The publisher is not named. Try Google. The author spells Kevin T. Kelly

I got the book at Hollywood Magic, in LA. They might have copies left. In the book there's a contact address. I'll look it up for you. federico |

They have copies of Paradox for sale for $40 at H&R Magic Books (http://www.magicbookshop.com). I highly recommend buying from them. Richard and Charlie are some of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.

While you are tracking down Don England books keep an eye out for TKO's. Some gaffed effects but mostly non-gaffed.

This is a great book, which I had the honor of editing. "TKOs" is also wonderful, but very difficult to find.
Also of interest to you would be "Gaffed to the Hilt" written by Jon Racherbaumer, with gaffed effects by Don. Matt Field |

Paradox is also available from Loomis Magic for $32 + $6 shipping (U.S., though he ships globally). PayPal only. I've never used Loomis before but I did email Dennis, the owner, to make sure the book was still available before ordering and he responded quickly.

$102? That's almost enough to make me think about selling...

P.S. - I have Paradox and Gaffed to the Hilt along with all of the gimmicked cards associated with the effects. A buddy picked up the gimmicks for me directly from Don at a lecture, and they weren't cheap but they're great (I don't recall the exact amount but it was about $225 or $250). |

Craig's Copy of Don England's Paradox was shipped Monday. Hopefully he'll have it today or tomorrow.
Perhaps he'll post a review in this thread. Dennis Loomis

I had the privilege to meet Don in person and picked up a signed copy of his Paradox book and a copy of his lecture video which he performed several effects from that book.
I later bought several gaffs that he makes and love the effects. I liked them so much that I searched and found copies of both TKO's and Gaffed to the Hilt. I will also say that his Pass is something to (not) be seen. Alton |

Don England’s “TKO‘s“ written by John Mendoza.
Don England was quite a creative force in card magic. Every time I saw him he inspired me. Long out of print, this book was first published in 1981 & contains some of the most creative and inspiring card magic you’ll ever come across. Don was definitely one of my magic heroes. ❤️❤️❤️And I was lucky enough to be able to call Don a friend. 🙏 Big nod goes to Bob Longe for publishing and creating the awesome illustrations for this book. Go do yourself a favor and find a copy. Can’t find one? No worries. I got you covered. Click the link below... https://kranzomagic.myshopify.com/produc......-s-tko-s
