Who out there does thimble magic?
If so, What thimbles do you use? I have acquired a set of Fakini Ultra thimbles (lucky me) and I think they are great, but too expensive if you are using a routine which uses extensive amounts of thimbles, they are also very hard to get hold of, I believe I got the last set available until September, Jeff McBride uses thimbles which have small circle indentations in them, They look cheap but excellent quality, Thanks alot, Please reply with a link if possible, Thank you, Take care, Kevin. :dancing: Does anybody know what thimbles Jeff McBride uses, and where to get them? They are the main ones I am after, Thanks for the help. |

I don’t know what Jeff McBride uses so can’t help you there. However, Joe Mogar sells Plastic thimbles (I suspect they are similar to the McBride ones you are looking for). Joe’s web site is: http://jmagic.freeyellow.com/page5.html
Further his thimble book “Digital Effects” is fast becoming the “bible” of thimble magic. Check it out. I hope this helps you just a little.

Key,
This topic about the McBride thimbles has been posted at least twice so far. This is the third time. The thimbles were out years ago as a set with instructions by TOPP's Magic. This company out of Denmark has sold the supply to another foreign company. It is not in English. Weather you can get them is unknown at this time. I think it was a swedish company if memory serve me correctly. Someone advised they are sold separately and come in red, yellow, green, white colors. I found the other string on thimbles here is a post from another member: Leo Topp Owner of Topp magic in denmark has sold the maufacturing rights to Gay Ljungberg here in Sweden you can find the thimbles att his online store http://www.gycklaren.com you can buy them one buy one in different colors he also sells Vic Jahns thimble rutine as well as some other thimble creations of Vic Jahn |

What I'm saying is ***Kev*** posted this question nearly 2 years ago. It is unfair to answer 2 years later saying 'this has already been discussed', when this question was asked way before the other questions, however this one wasnt answered.
After checking, ***Kev*** isn't even a member of the Café anymore. |

JOe Porper makes great metal thimbles that nest and Iwill soon be re-releasing my routine, "Pete's Peeper" that was marketed by Ken Brooke. Porper will make the thimbles.
Mike Skinner used my routine.

Pete,
Will the Pete's Peeper Thimble be brass to match exactly the Porper nesting thimbles? |

Pete,
That is something I would very much like to see. Will you be selling it? (I've had my eye on those nested thimbles Bruce

Hi People,
I am looking for a set of thimbles for my father. Most of the ones that I have seen around look fairly cheap. I remember that a long time ago, he had some like the ones in http://www.gycklaren.com. Talking to him last week, he told me that his thimbles were made by Tenyo. I checked all over and did not find anything about Tenyo thimbles, so I conclude that he does not remember. Can anyone recommend a source (in the USA) for that kind of thimbles. I am also buying him a Berland's thimble act as well. I would love to buy him the Porper thimbles but... ;-) Thanks, QH. |
