I just watched Steel and Silver and he did a routine where he had jumbo dice. He said he got them in Vegas. I'm in Chicago and don't plan on going to Vegas any time soon. Does anyone know where to get those dice online?

Paul had the set of dice available for sale when the book first came out... Try searching for a direct website for Paul.

Try http://www.gamblersgeneralstore.com in Las Vegas. Their online catalog shows dice in a wide range of sizes up to about 4".

I went through this same search a couple of months ago. Definitely take a look at the casinosupply.com novelty dice (link above). I think their 4" die is superior even to the one Paul supplies at his site (and it is cheap, only $18.85). The corners are square, as opposed to the rounded corners (the rounded corners are much more common on the 4" die). In his video, I believe Paul uses a 4" die with squared corners, but at his site the 4" die he sells has rounded corners. Two advantages of the squared corners: 1) the die looks more like the smaller ones you are using in the routine (an aesthetic point); and 2) when you are holding that big die load through the hat, I think your odds of a better grip are better with the squared corners (a practical point). You'll see what I mean when you start practicing the routine. On a related note, you should be able to find a nice, workable fedora for around $35 at a good costume shop.

Last week I was in the Gamblers General store.
There were some jumbo dice there but they are made of light weight foam and are not the same color as regulation dice. I have not seen any large square edged dice in the shop at all. That does not mean they don't have any but I have not seen them in there catalog either. |

I was at the Gamblers General Store last week. They had two different types of 4 inch dice that were made of good, heavy acrylic (or something similar). They have them with ball corners and squarish corners. They cost about $25 per die.
You can find the store on the internet at http://www.gamblersgeneralstore.com . If you can't find the dice on the web site, call them at 1-800-322-2447 . The search term to use on their web site is 100mm dice. The one that shows up on the web site has ball corners. They had several with squarish corners, but they don't show on the web site. Best thing to do is to call them.

I bought the 4" rounded corners dice from Jeff Busby years ago for $30.00 each, I bought2, when Paul's book came out. What I cannot find is an actual 2" Dice he mentions.

If you order from Gamblers General Store, phone them. They have things for sale that are not in their catalog.
Ask for Ludmilla. She is a very nice lady with a trace of a Czech accent. Regarding JB's pricing -- Jeff was never in business to lose money. He probably paid half what you did for the dice. They are not a fast-moving item. Nothing wrong with that.

William -- next time you go to Las Vegas, be sure to stop by the Gambler's General Store. They have an amazing assortment of dice, cards, chips and almost everything else associated with gambling. And practically next door is Spinetti's. They have the largest assortment of chips in Las Vegas.
