I can't believe nobody has mentioned this yet. http://www.apple.com it's staring you in the face. I actually went out an bought an old 20GB iPod on Saturday, and luckily hadn't opened it yet. Then, sure enough, Apple announces the new iPods on Monday!! I returned mine today and bought a brand new 40GB!! I'm so happy. It's basically an oversized version of the mini with mucho space. (40GB=500 CD's about!) Everyone go buy them now!! (I don't work for apple and I don't even have a mac, but these just rock. The click wheel is SO coooool) really, I can't recommend these enough. (Except of course the fact that no cases or all the extra goodies have quite yet hit the stores for these things. OH WELL. I'll just have to wait. Maybe in the meantime I'll use bubblewrap to protect it. I'd love to hear from anyone else who bought this. Surely there must be someone out of the 13472 members.

And will the battery run out just after the warranty on these ones or have they learned their lesson?

And..will it play wma. files which only use half the memory of mp3 files ?
does it have an FM radio with presets? can you replace the battery yourself? Is it as good as the Creative Labs Zen Touch which is a lot cheaper and has a much more ergonomic "thumb slider" control. I'm afraid over here we aren't as Mac orientated as in the States so itunes is a bit of a drawback. Howard |

Chris, you just put all of your CDs and tapes and MP3a and stuff onto the Ipod. I've filled up a lot of my 15 gig Ipod but I've never bought anything on Itunes.

Perhaps but there is storage and loading with CD's.
Searching your entire collection of CD's while driving and then inserting the CD while also removing the CD that's currently in your car and putting it back into its correct slot is a lot harder than pressing 2 buttons to get to your song! Ipod's are great, because they can be used as external harddrives too, and collect all your music on one device rather than scattered around..... |
