Where can I find a floating dollar routine where I have more control over the dollar. I want to make the dollar bounce up and down my arm to the beat of a song. Is there a version out there like that?

I like the method used by Kevin James in The Floating Rose...Copperfield did that one out in the audience. That is the original Wunderbar method as well. You CAN use One-Point, but I prefer the control Two-Point has, although your movement is more restricted.
Now, the LeClair method is great for walkaround, but you cannot "dance to the music" the way you can with the James method. If you do not know what I'm talking about with the above suggestions, I recommend you purchase this: Floating Rose The Video...at this site (scroll down for description): http://www.kjmagic.com/catalog/videos.html This will get you the best animated dollar routine ever! Money well spent! Hope this helps! Doug |

Lou Serrano (Los Angeles) has a nice animated bill routine where the crumpled bill dances on the box of cards that he's been using. I've seen his show a couple of times at the Magic Castle and this routine always goes over well. You can check out his website to see if he has any lecture notes or whatnot. http://www.Louserrano.com

Lou Serrano uses the Kevin James hookup.

The Fearson hookup would work for that too. But I would go with Kevin James.

Floating dollar and other floating things are very popular these days, and included on most if not every Invisible Thread DVD.

Click on Yegal Mesika's name to see an example of his work. You don't need his special gimmick to do most of this, but it should give you an idea of what can be done. Basically, you need to be able to discreetly "bounce" one end of the hookup, something most fixed anchors won't allow. As already stated, the Kevin James "floating rose" hookup will give you more control over the animation of the bill.

The video is great. Now where do you get Yegal Mesika's effect?

He's been selling them at conventions but I don't think they've hitten the magic stores quite yet. Check the "Tricks and Effects" review section for more information.
