I just got Cultural Xchange 2 and it freezes and skips in the "Heel Tap" explanation? Anyone else skip upon this problem? That sux!!!! The DVD is brand new and so is my DVD player. I tested it on several other DVD players and they all mess up on the same spot. I'm certain it's the DVD!!! BOB Kohler's gonna here it from me!!! So Please let me know if y'alls have the same problem with it...If so- how did he make things good...if at all? Thanks and sorry for my rant and raving!!!

Most magic dealers are eager to correct any problems in their order, and Bob is always helpful and courteous as well as being a great guy. Before getting on this forum and complaining, though, its best to try to handle these matters privately. After all, most mistakes or problems are honest, and there's no reason to discredit the dealer unless he does not provide you with proper satisfaction. Good luck, Mike

Yeah- I contacted him. I did some research and it turns out my copy wasn't the only one corrupted. I called my local magic shop because she used to sell the DVD but she stopped 'cause of this problem... too many customers complaining that she sold them a bum deal... But she didn't, she just didn't know. She also has a heavy asian accent so I imagine she had a hard time in trying to convey that it was not her fault. I'm not discrediting Mr. BOB Kohler, He's done some great things and surely this one flaw will not take away from such contributions, but I'm sure it would be easier to discontinue it until the problem no longer existed- ya know. And really Dr. Rubinstein I didn't mean to complain publicly I just wanted to know if I was the only one who suffered this fate. I don't want to bug BOB for the only DVD that went bad out of all ones made- ya know... stuff happens I'm sure he has other things to worry about than to make sure every single one came out perfect. But that wasn't the case. Maybe if he knows that many came out glitched he would do something to avoid people getting the wrong impression. But anyways, Thanks for yer help mystre71

What a coincidence. I bought this DVD at our magic club sale last week, along with several others. Just got around to checking it out tonight....yep, it doesn't play correctly either. Oh well, I bought this from a local guy. I am sure I can get my money back. Is there any good copies (I don't mean copied, but used is ok) out there? I would still like to see it all the way through.

My copy freezes on Heel Tap, and messes up on Impossible change as well.
I didn't do anything about it as a) Heel tap is easy to work out anyway and b) I would _never_ use Impossible Change. Take care, Ian |

Cutural Xchange 2 did have a problem when it first shipped last year.
The manufacturing process for DVD replication has many stages. We do our best to check each step to insure the DVD's are perfect. That being said, Cultural Xchange 2 suffered a major flaw with the glass master. We manufactured over 1000 copies which we sent from the replicator to both Bob Kohler Magic and Murphy's Magic Supplies. Both of us sent out copies to both dealers (Murphy's) and clients(BKM). We soon discovered the problem. We contacted everyone who had purchased Cultural Xchange 2. Dealers we instructed to throw ALL of their copies AWAY. Same thing with the clients. It took six weeks to get a new perfect glass master made and the DVD's replicated. All of both Murphy's and our clients were issued replacements. If you purchased a copy of Cultural Xchange 2 and it has a problem with Heel Tap and Impossible Change, you have a bad copy that we have already replaced, either to the dealer or client. You should contact your source you received the DVD from for a replacement or refund. I changed replicators immediately after the incident. |

It's always good when the person in charge of the manufacturing takes such responsibility. Luckily, the copy I received (a couple of months ago) was just fine. It's a great DVD. I had a problem with somebody else's DVD and the person I contacted sent me a new DVD plus a new trick they had released for the trouble. Unfortunately, there was something wrong with that DVD as well which was later found to be on the master. He offered to send a video version of it until they corrected their master copy. It's good to hear Bob and many others in the magic fraternity back up their products by fixing these problems and by their customer service.

I just found out that I can't get a refund or an exchange due to the fact that I had opened up the package and broken the seal...but how else am I to know? That really bites balls (sponge balls)!!!!

Well, I got my money back from the guy I bought mine from, but now it seems he is out of luck. I think he ordered it off the internet. He said it was too much trouble to bother with. Bob, if I send him to you, will you replace it for free? That would be great, I feel sorta bad for him.

Hey, that would be great Bob!!!! Rey-Rey, a Café' member, who has a magic shop in my town, offered to make things good for me even though he wasn't the one who sold me the DVD!!! I hope I get a replacement other than a refund... That's a really kool DVD!!!!
