Greetings and salutations to all my fellow wonder workers and miracle mongers around the world! After browsing this site for a while I felt it only proper on my part to join and not be a "lurker" - not to mention the ability to discuss and learn even more about our wonderful art among those of us lucky enough to know the fun that magic is and can be!
I was bit by the magic bug at an early age - caught it from my Dad. And as everyone knows, there is no cure, once you are bitten. I was in the Indianapolis S.A.M. in my teens/early 20s, only to let my membership lapse during college and afterwards, much to my sorrow. Now, some 30 odd years later I still love nearly every type of magic, be it from the performer's standpoint or as the spectator myself. I look forward to this site and all it has to offer, and what little I might be able to contribute. Now on to the tricks!

Welcome Rocinante, Your user name is the same as my car. Or course, we probably both got it from the great Cervantes. This forum is awesome and you will benefit greatly from the info here. Welcome again.

Obviously, as you pointed out, Miguel de Cervantes also came up with the same name for the horse in Don Quixote. It was also the name of Steinbeck's motor home in Travels With Charlie. It was also the name of the starship in the song Cygnus X-1 (that flew into the black hole of the same name) written by Neil Peart of the rock group Rush. Between a steed ridden by a god and a starship that flies into a black hole, I figure I couldn't go wrong with a name like that - as you and your car have also discovered! Again, thanks for the welcome! And I have alredy benefited greatly from this site! I hope I can help aid this site as much as I know it has (and will) aid and help me!
