Hey everyone,
I have invented an awsome kid show trick. I want to know what you think. Ok, I started inventing this because I thought that the milk pitcher effect wasn't long enough. So I made an awesome routine out of it. Ok, I start off the trick saying that I usually eat Lucky Charms for breakfest every morning. So I pour the milk from the pitcher into a bowl and I pour the Lucky Charms, but it isn't really Lucky Charms, it's confetti. I then pour a glass of milk. I then have a kid taste it, then I will taste it and all the sudden I start to pull mouth coils from my mouth, my friend then walks on stage and says, "ohh milk", he takes a drink and then pulls mouth coils too. When there is no more coils, my friend and I act as if nothing happened. (the kids are so confused and crack up) But there's more, after that, I walk over to the bowl of Lucky Charms and suprizingly throw the confetti all over them. As they react to that, my friend switchs the glass of milk with a glass of confetti which then gets poured on the birthday boys head. Sooooo, is that like the best trick for a kids show or what?? (I have never typed that much) So what do you think? any add ons? |

Umm...
I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole personally. |

Interesting indeed. It is clever, that is for sure. Maybe with a little more work it could one day be marketable.
The best to you, X

What you are creating is not a trick, but your own routine using these props. It sound like your having fun and hopefully the audience is sharing in that excitement.
The cereal bit reminded me of a trick Lee Synder published in "JUST LIKE MAGIC!" (MAGIC INC) called "Cereal Sorcery (p44). The magi says he missed breakfast and pours himself a bowl of cereral with milk. He invite a boy up to share and throws the contents towards him showing it's vanished. "That's what I get for using evaporated milk!" the magician mumbles. The book will tell you how to gimmick the box so that cereal actually pours into the bowl and then vanishes...it's pretty clever and quite simple.

The large amount of confetti would limit where I would consider its use. No homes, for sure, unless I knew the people were 'cool' with that.

Sounds like an interesting routine, I can see how kis would get a kick out of it. Perhaps you could incorporate a dove pan or similar in to the effect somewhere? That would be different again, but hey, if it works for you, then why change it!

I don't think throwing anything at anybody is anything but degrading...now the clown bit where the audience gets the confetti is ok because the confetti is "really" meant for the clown being chased and it is just an "accident".
Also, who is going to clean up that mess? Do you think you will get a re-booking out of it? I would seriously re-think this whole bit. My opinion of course. Bryan
Oh sure, I can spell "Antidisestablishmentarianism", but I can't type t-h-e.

Hey if you become a big shot you can hire some one to clean up the mess. But good efforts.

Consider "Trix" The magic cereal and use the Rabid Rabbit and then lead into a rabbit production routine.
