In fact, I thought this was how ALL right-handers dealt until my friend Jerry - who, under the persona of "J.P. The single advantage that I saw was eliminating the awkward display move in Larry Jennings' "The Visitor". Beyond that, I think there are a number of advantages to dealing from the left hand, so I'll stick with what I know. Regards, Thomas Wayne

Hi Thomas,
My typo. I am right-handed. Dealing position "used to be" by holding the deck in my left hand (some thity years ago). Now, it is holding the pack in my right hand for dealing grip. The only problem (which I have inadvertently demonstrated) is when writing up routines. Though I try to write 100% right-handed, it takes a conversion of sorts . . . and I'm thankful for my "true" right-handed friends that can proof my mixed left and rights! There are certain glimpses, etc., available to the left handed worker as a matter of course that right-handers would not use. Conversely, the old "bubble glimpse" gives me a peek at brilliant, meaningless white paper. I'm sorry for the confusion! |
