Read about the new Tenyo products here and watch pitcures:
http://www.tenyoworld.co.uk/ Text from the web: Matchbox seems to involve sponge doves which possibly appear and disappear from the matchbox. Poodle. Beads are formed into a poodle shaped dog which suddenly barks. Sponge Balls seems to involve a purse frame and has the balls transform into different shapes a la Growing Ball. Scratch Card is the creation of a French magician I believe and was first shown at the last FISM. 4 freely named numbers are printed on a scratchcard under the silver scratchoff squares. Rising Card appears to be the standard rising deck but it will no doubt have Tenyo's improved touch to it. |

It looks as if Georges Proust sold out to Tenyo.
The scratch card is Prousts "Predicta" which I have and perform at every closeup or walkaround show. Its great, and so easy. S. Patrick Georges is from Paris, by the way. |

We need to do a write-in campaign to get Tenyo to release more plastic clever tricks. Don't get me wrong; I liked last year's offering of recycled tricks because they at least gave us mobile illusion, which was fantastic by the way. But this year, I just don't know what to say. I got a chance to actually play with three of the 2005 line. I'll let you know soon just what you have to look forward to. Tenyo needs to know that we buy Tenyo for those clever plastic devices that we've come to love. Usually they make two out of five each year that are just great. A few come to mind:
Transpa-Vision Oh, No! Finger Chopper Mobile Illusion Credit Card Slasher Mini-Morphosis Mystery China Box Crystal Cleaver Puzzling Queen Clean Cut Merlin's Coffer Zig-Zag Cig And of course, there are the ones that suck, Magician's Finger and Anti-Gravity Rock being the worst two I've ever seen. I will post a review of three tricks from the new line along with a website address for those of you who want to join me in asking Tenyo to bring back what made them great. Thanks. |

I am happy to report that, through a Japanese friend who attended a special gathering for Tenyo fans in Japan, I have all 5 tricks from the 2005 line. These are pre-release versions and may change a bit when brought to the public.
Anyway, I like them. My versions are in Japanese so I cannot know the proper names. Rising card. Well-made, the standard effect. Devano style. Poodle. You get 3 strands of beads plus a fun gimmicked TT that allows you to make the dog "bark". really cute. Lotto trick. As mentioned, this is the Proust effect. I don't see this as "selling out". International market, anyone? Matchbox. The closest throwback to Tenyo of the past. A cleverly gimmicked box o' matches that changes in design and produces a cute sculpture. Purse Frame. The classic. well-made by Tenyo. The sponge balls are incredibly soft.

I agree with you Marvelous, Tenyo have changed recently
the really clever tricks are not being produced at the moment. They used to be so devious and likable I don't think sponge balls and bead poodles is the right way to go...just MUO |

I have also handled the range.
Purse frame 2 sponge balls and a growing ball is one set. Super soft balls. Plastic matchbox and plastic dove and bird is another set. Devano deck (no thread but another material). Barking Beads (beads, silk and electronic TT) T-shirt trick (printed selfcontained trick on front, prediction on back) Apparently the lottery trick will not be released in USA. Period!
