Hello Derren
I saw your show in Bristol recently with a gorup of friends and we all enjoyed it very much. The one thing that everyone was talking about after the show though was the poor woman who assisted you with the 'letter' (shouldn't say too much but I think you'll remember her). It was all just a bit too strong for her. Do you see that kind of reaction to material in the second half of your show very often? Were you secretly thinking 'Yes! Result!' or 'Maybe I picked the wrong person for that'? I must say I had to feel a bit sorry for her. I expect she is either a) still unable to sleep or b) planning her career as the new Doris Stokes. All the best Paul
It was a good battle, and they nearly won.

I was planning to ask a similar question: do you ever feel slightly guilty about scaring the living daylights out of volunteers? It's getting to be a bit of a habit (some of the best examples were in the Blair Witch routine, live show, invisible man effect and, of course, the televised seance), which is great fun for viewers, but perhaps a little cruel to participants.
Slowly learning that life is OK
