Hey I was wondering if you knew of any dove act videos on the web or that I can buy. I'm just trying to get inspired by something and trying to remember acts that I've seen live is kind of hard to do. Thanks

Cameron, there are video clips on the web like Dan Birch but many performers have videos on the market that are both instructional and performances.
Shimada General Grant Tony Clark Greg Frewin Andy Amy Victor and Diamond Amos Levkovitch Channing Pollock Just to name a few.

Don't forget Jason Byrne act too.
http://www.jasonbyrne.com Those listed above range from standard dove acts (ie. body and/or apparatus loads to really intense and difficult acts (ie. very technical and precise). It all depends as to what you want to do with your act and what type of show you perform, full 80 minute or 30 minute or just 10 minute act. And how much time you have to invest in that part of your show. Any dove production to the audience is pretty cool regardless. |

Greg, If you get a chance, check out Dave Womach's series on Dove Magic. He is inspiring, because he is young like us. I think his style is easier to relate to vs. some of the other dove workers; however, Frewin's DVD has a lot of useful info as well.

Check out Dan Sperry's dove video Extreme Dove Magic. That will inspire you to think creatively I think Dan is a super creative dove magician. the effects on his vid/ DVD are really cool and stylish. I would recomend his vid/DVD over any others on the market.

Why, why, why must people insist on putting RealPlayer videos up on their sites? The last few responses have included several dove magicians websites with videos - all of them have been RealPlayer and that makes them virtually unplayable. RealPlayer is so unstable, what with all its adware, slow load time, and keen ability to crash an entire system. It's too bad, because they are seriously limiting their audience. USE QUICKTIME! It's the standard for a reason...
Oh, and Angelfire sucks too. The zillions of popups really take away from the Vanishing Vinny site, which otherwise looks cool. Now, back to magic talk. --Jack |
