I live in canada and I bought this toonie shell and shved toonie. Toonie shells cant be expanded for some reason so they maker shaved the real toonie down half a mm. But I have no clue what to do with this besides showing a toonie puting it in the pocket and then showing it back in my hand (and it doesn't look that amazing) DOes anybody have any ideas for this coin?

Acutally Roy Keuppers has found a way to make an expanded toonie shell. You can probably contact Roy directly or you can try The Browser's Den of Magic in Toronto. They carry a fair bit of Roy's stuff.
The problemd with the toonie was the two different types of metal used in making the coin - similiar to the British 2 pound coin. I gather after a lot of trial and error Roy has found a way to do it. Also from what I gather he's keeping this technique rather close to his vest.
Cheers,

I was wondering what a post about a "shaved toonie" would be about.

Browsers is actually selling the expanded toonie by kueppers... Tango sells the expanded euro coin which is very similar to the toonie.. I'm not sure if his method is the same as tango's ...

Yes. Roy has indeed started machining expanded shells of both toonies and quarters.
I have a number of them on the way to my shop as a matter of fact. Roy's work is top quality. |

I'm a bit off topic here but, "toonie" is a pretty cool name for a coin.

To answer the question... :-p
There should be a resurgence of Derek Dingle's "Silver Quick" among Canadian magicians with the new Toonie ['s: if you aren't familiar with this routine, do yourself a favor and pick up "The Complete Works..." regards, Doug
