Hallo
I've bought the Very very Close series and I was impressed by this effect. I've not foud the props on the net. I'm looking for the "key". Where I can find it? Anyone can help me? Thank you Massimo Pulidori |

The key is no longer available but an alternative is --click here and type the words "just a key" in the search block.

I beleve this key is now available from Joe Porper. There appear to be two items, just a key, and a key / key case combo
http://www.hocus-pocus.com/magicshop/?hn=1 Look up "Just in Case" and "Just a Key" both by Pete Biro and Joe Porper. They both allude to Close's routine. Can someone please describe the effect for me? |

He then tosses out his key case, then begins by getting one or two spectators to hold a shoelace stretched out. He covers the shoelace with a handkerchief and asks for the loan of a ring, and after examining it, tells them he will put the ring on the lace without either of them letting of of the ends of the lace, if not, the owner of the ring wins the car. When the handkerchief is whisked away, Michael is surprised to see a key hanging threaded onto the middle of the lace! "Wait a minute, if my key is on this lace, then what is in my key case?" Michael opens the case, and the spectator's ring is found, securely fastened to the metal lobster claw inside. A miracle!" Larry |

Man that does sound great. I've heard nothing but good things about the new Pete Biro/Porper version. One question? I hated the Bloom gimmick and found that it doesn't work too well with bigger rings...especially men's rings. Also, I'm usually kind of hesitant to borrow female's rings for this type of effect. Does your version eliminate any of that Pete? Or is it just the key and the case for the Close routine?

You could use a superbowl ring with our setup. (I think, since I don't have one, but I have used a really large men's signet ring, ala school ring).
If you need a HUMONGOUS clip for a GIANT'S ring, after you by the trick, proof of purchase and I would rig you one that would take a ring about 1/4-inch in diameter.

NICE..very cool. The nicest thing is this trick is suitable for table hopping and stage which makes it that much more versatile.
