The magic inventor Phil Postma, Holland passed away:
October 17th 2004. He was born October 17th 1921. This announcement also gives him a credit for two of his brilliant inventions that others are taking credit for. The most important one is the Flippercoin for which Robert Swadling is taking credit for. Ed Taytelbaum was the originator of the flipper coin in its crudest form and when he showed it to Phil he came up with his wonderful improvement to put it in a shell, this was a great improvement. Another invention is the elongated safety pin trick as being sold with permission by Dan Garret. Outside of Holland he may not be wellknown but he was a frequent visitor to Germany and England and even went to the U.S.A. Every year near Christmas he visited the great magician Ed Taytelbaum, Holland [FISM prize winner, twize] and besides doing Magic he enjoyed a nice dinner. Rest in peace. |
